Salary: GBP26,000 - GBP30,000

Job Role & Responsibilities:

My Client are seeking a technically literate, highly motivated individual to monitor and maintain the IT infrastructure. You will help manage the integrity and availability of all in house Servers, operating systems and their associated software. You will support the communications and connection solutions, including local area networks and Internet connections.

Main responsibilities

• Give advice on best practices or potential pitfalls that you identify and suggest alternatives that may better serve the stability, security and performance of the company's systems.
• Work on ad-hoc projects as requested to expand or enhance the company's systems.
• Document all pertinent activities, decisions and actions in response to assistance requests, audit results and project activities.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedure and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
• Practice network asset management, network security audits, monitor system backups and other critical systems including maintenance of network component inventory, related documentation and technical specifications information.

Technical Skills

• Demonstrable experience of Exchange, 2010
• Demonstrable experience of Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 technologies, Active Directory and Office suite
• Working knowledge ofnetworking technologies - TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS
• Experience working with Virtualisation technologies
• Experience with SQL
