Our client, a dynamic and high growth organisation is looking to recruit an IT Operations Manager to be responsible for managing and maintaining the server and infrastructure, including datacentre management. You will be involved with new projects reflecting both the business growth and need to adopt new technologies.

Responsibilities include:

Design, deliver and operate rolling 2-3 year roadmap for Server and Storage and Data Centre roadmap
Propose and implement operating model for server management in terms of insource or outsource models
Agree technical architecture and standards for data centre environments, Servers and SAN devices
Plan and manage server & SAN updates with Managed Services Provider
Plan and implement a high availability server infrastructure utilising both clustering and virtualisation technologies as applicable
Manage server & SAN environments
Provide hardware specification standards for server & SAN procurement
Maintain continuing documentation on: Datacentres, Servers and SAN devices
Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support on the Servers
Propose and accountable for server & SAN projects
Manage overall data storage and provide reporting on capacity
Manage daily activities of the IT Operations team in a 24x7x365 highly available, high performing, robust and secure environment
Management of external providers

Experience Required:

Advanced knowledge and experience of Servers, Data Storage, Data replication including Data back up
Experience of managing DBA resources (both SQL and Oracle databases)
Expert in design, deployment and management of VMware solutions, design and implementation
Expert in and knowledge of Active Directory Management, deployment and maintenance of Group Policy
Expert in design, deployment and management of SAN/NAS storage technologies
Expert in deploying and managing Anti-Virus and Endpoint Security Products
Proven experience in design and management of IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity management from datacentre, server and SAN perspectives
Advanced knowledge of installing, supporting and upgrading Microsoft Exchange
Practical knowledge and experience of deploying Microsoft System Centre (SCCM/SCOM)
Exposure to and knowledge of managing Apple products - Macs, IPad, IPhones in a corporate environment
Manage alerts and incidents in the production environment, and coordinate 2nd/3rd lines responses and solutions
Analyse and Audit incident responses and implement procedures and policies to prevent re-occurrence of incidents (problem management) within the Server and SAN environment
