IT Business Analyst

Head Resourcing has a new requirement for an experienced IT Business Analyst for a dynamic and high growth client based in Edinburgh. This position will see you collaborating across the business scoping requirements and feasibility on a vast range of applications and process related projects. This will be a fast paced and thriving environment, where the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects will be key.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a business analyst on a range of business critical applications able combine sound technical understanding with a comprehensive BA tool set to ensure that projects are feasible and will drive improvements for the business. You should be collaborative in your approach enabling you to take on a true partnering role.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

-Work in a consistent and collaborative manner to analyse, inputting to high level IT strategy, requirements specifications and feasibility studies
-Work with colleagues in IT and end users to investigate operational requirements and deliver solutions either through process improvement or automated solutions
-Creating detailed specifications and modelling recommendations
-Maintain contact with development and service delivery functions ensuring implementations are in line with organisational standards
-Plan and control meetings, workshops and user and IT relations through requirements solicitation
-Collaborate with the IT operations team to ensure infrastructure solutions can be provided
-Apply best practice and standardisation to ensure consistency of detailed, high quality documentation

Experience required

-Educated to degree level
-5 + year's experience in IT Business Analysis
-Experience with a broad Business Analysis 'tool set' including context diagrams, gap analysis, business process modelling, use case development, data flow diagrams and business case development for example
