Contracts Manager for Specialised Roofing Firm

Our client is looking to source a construction professional to take on the role of contracts manager for their highly successful and prestigious firm. Generally operating between Oxford and London you will help manage individual contracts, contractors/staff, deliveries and clients. With contracts sometimes running over GBP1 million previous experience on larger sites/builds would be advantageous as would previous experience as a site supervisor, manager, build supervisor, contracts manager and any other positions that would utilise similar skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Undertake site inspections daily and accurately record each visit on a site diary sheet logging labour on site, delays and disruptions, client instructions, inclement weather etc.
• Daily Diary Management for site visits. Each week must be projected ahead but can be subject to change and updated as necessary. (Electronic Outlook Diary)
• Organising plant and materials for timely deliveries, including collecting and delivering materials in company vehicles.
• Ordering materials using the required purchase order system, following company procedures.
• Quality control snagging work and making sure it is specification compliant for warranties.
• Take photographs as and when required/appropriate and download into the project files.
• All requirements of resources of labour on-site must be in liaison and agreement with either MD/QS or Contracts Manager before any labour is removed from any one site.
