IT Support Engineer

We're part of the Apple Consultants Network. We're both a BlackBerry Managed Mobility Partner & Platinum Enterprise Partner, and a leading partner for MobileIron and Aerohive. But our solutions span all leading devices and platforms. Our customers are mainly based in London and the Home Counties in the Legal and Financial sector.

Appurity are seeking a Level 1 Support Engineer who will be responsible for the support and resolution of a wide of issues in line with SLA's. This will be achieved with a combination of technical skills and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Prioritise incoming support calls

* Identify and resolve issues

* Take ownership of issues through to resolution

* Liaise with the technical consulting team to obtain related information

* Update and maintain support logs

* Update customer documentation if required

The preferred candidate should demonstrate the following skills:

Good customer-service skills: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.

Prioritisation skills: The Ability to identify the issues that need immediate attention based on SLA.

Documentation. Ability to write clearly phrased, easy to read e-mails and documentation.

Additional skills that would be seen as an advantage however the candidate would be trained in the following areas:

Wireless Technologies, Aerohive

Understanding of MDM solutions: BlackBerry BES12 and Mobile Iron

Mobile phone operating systems: BB10, IOS and Android

LAN/WAN infrastructure knowledge

Microsoft Office Skills

Microsoft Windows server software

The candidate would ideally have a full, clean driving licence

The candidate may be asked to work on customer site on certain projects in addition to the support role discussed. This could include short periods of time working away from home.
