Automation Test Engineer

An interesting and challenging position for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join a world leading interactive broadcast technology developer.
This is a key role as an Automation Test Engineer within their Software QA group which is part of a world-class engineering team. You will work alongside the development teams to help them ensure the software they deliver is of the highest quality. You will maintain and develop the test and build automation framework and contribute to the definition, planning, development and execution of tests for different projects within the group.

Your experience and skills:

Required:

*Significant software test experience in a R&D environment.
*Experienced in test methodologies and techniques.
*Test case specification.
*Test Automation.
*Experience of working in a Unix environment.
*Proficient in development of Unix scripts: Bash, Perl, Python
*Solid working knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL
*Bug management experience using Bugzilla or a similar bug tracking tool.
*Practical experience of using source control tools (Subversion, ClearCase etc.)
*Good problem solving skills.
*Experience of installing and configuring Linux and Windows workstations and setting up networks.
*Experience in installing and troubleshooting computer and network hardware.

Desirable:

*Software development background.
*Experience of testing video codecs.
*Experience of working in a fast paced Agile environment
*Working knowledge of Jenkins.
*ISEB qualified in Software Testing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

*Design and develop test automation scripts
*Specify, set-up and maintain test environments
*Develop and perform test cases and maintain associated test records
*Record issues into the bug-tracking system
