Mobile Apps Developer Job (Android/iOS) - Altrincham
The Senior Mobile/Apps Developer role is a permanent position that reports to the Development Manager and will work on a team of 8 other developers.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, innovative, passionate about new technology and a good communicator. He/she will be involved in the full development life cycle including requirements-gathering, design, development, testing and deployment. He/she will also be liaising with other developers, testers, management and customers, so will need to be able to express ideas using appropriate terminology for their audience.

We require a minimum of 2 years hands-on development experience for this role.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and development of the companies mobile apps
* Investigate issues as and when required, and see the issues through to resolution.
* Identify new technologies that would be beneficial to either the product or the development team, and champion their usage.
* Work with internal and external customers to understand requirements and design solutions.
* Liaise with both internal and external testing teams to achieve the speedy resolution of bug reports.
* Administer the internal management tools as per the defined processes.
* Write technical documentation describing software design in detail.
Essential Skills
* Excellent understanding of iOS and/or Android
* Experience developing apps using at least one of:
o Objective-C (iOS)
o Java (Android)
* Unit testing (including the use of dependency injection)
* Distributed Source Control (Git/Mercurial)
* Experience working in an Agile environment
Desirable Skills
* Graphic design
* Amazon Web Services
* NoSQL data design
* WCF
* Postgres
* Web design
* Jira/Confluence/BitBucket
