Senior Java Developer - Renowned Online Retailer - Java, Agile, Spring

My client one of the country's leading online retailers providing one of the sharpest technical environments around. They are in the process of internationalising their entire product whilst integrating a host of cutting edge technologies such as Scala and Cassandra into their systems.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work on a variety of technically challenging and exciting Greenfield projects. These teams make use of a wide variety of computer science disciplines including artificial intelligence, 3D visual recognition, gaming technology and Real Time control. This is a chance to really grow as a technologist engaging with the likes of Big Data, NoSQL databases and Cassandra.

They are looking for Java developers with an understanding of the latest advancements in the Java technology stack. This will be coupled with solid agile experience in order to help build a new core system. The ideal candidate will be able to implement a modern approach to software engineering which enables continuous delivery, releasing features on demand.

Responsibilities -

• Experience in using the latest Java technologies
• Knowledge and experience using Spring (Spring 3.2, Spring MVC, Spring Integration)
• Experience with agile engineering practices such as TDD, BDD, pair programming
• Continuous integration and static analysis tools (preferably Maven, Jenkins, Sonar)
