eCommerce Solution Architect - Retail/Consumer Products - expanding top tier consultancy

An experienced and talented Ecommerce Architect/eCommerce Solution Architect is required by one of the UK's leading consulting, technology and outsourcing providers to work within their rapidly expanding Digital Practice.

The Digital Service Practice has a remit to design, build and support some of the largest, most comprehensive and most innovative Digital solutions in the Enterprise technology world, enabling its customer to execute upon new web opportunities, digital transformation initiatives and achieve successful relationships with online customers and employees.

The role of Ecommerce Architect/Solution Architect is to provide expert consultancy to assist clients with their overall eCommerce strategy, designs and delivery programmes; take an active leadership role in the delivery of projects in the Retail sector; provide eCommerce expertise on bids; propose, define and develop propositions in the web area that should be offered to clients.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

Ecommerce Architect/Solution Architect experience gained across a number of major retail or consumer product based projects.

Good understanding of application, information and infrastructure architectures.

Experience in integrating systems together to form an enterprise solution using appropriate Middleware solutions.

Experience in design and delivery of service-oriented architectures and software development processes such as RUP (Rational Unified Process) and Agile.

Web Technologies, Webservices, J2EE Technologies, Onpremise or cloud eCommerce platforms (eg ATG, IBM WebSphere, hybris, Demandware) Web Frameworks, Design Patterns and application Servers.

Candidates can work from any base UK location and will have the opportunity to work remotely but must be fully flexible with regards to working hours and working away from home during the week.
