Solution Architect

Job Role- Senior Analyst Location- Cheshire

My Client have a requirement for an experienced Senior Analyst to play a key part within their Retail Engineering & Development Team. You will be required to produce functional designs for several customer and colleague facing Front End applications, providing support and consultancy to other teams throughout the end-to-end software development life cycle. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build and maintain relationships whilst working closely with our stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery within time-scales and to budget.

We expect you to bring the following:

* Lead and be accountable for complex functional designs for several application/product areas.
* Key deliverables being system requirements, process flows and wireframes.
* Provide consultancy to UK RBB Business clients and RBB COO technical teams. Act as an SME for the product area by providing input to the E2E designs and business requirements.
* Review business requirements and solution E2E designs to ensure they are sufficiently comprehensive and detailed to enable impact assessments to be completed and to support effective system development.
* Complete impact assessment for complex projects, including both high level and more detailed estimates and identification of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
* Present complex technical ideas (both written and verbal), anticipate potential objections and persuade others to adopt the most appropriate view.
* Collaborate effectively with multiple component design and build teams, ensuring that the product designs are in line with the overall solution design, interfaces between products are understood and resolving any technical issues that arise.
* Ensure that the technical integrity and quality of the product deliverable is maintained throughout delivery, documentation is kept up to date with any changes and peer reviews are carried out when required.
* Define the optimum approach for the technical development of a project, balancing cost, time, quality and risk.
* Review supplier deliverables ensuring that they meet the necessary standards and contractual agreements. Take action if supplier is failing on commitments.
* Responsible for interacting with staff at all level across the Business and IT functions.
* Facilitate handover of change requests from the analysis team to the development and test teams. Act as the focal point for resolution of queries from build and test.
You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical and functional design expertise with Front End systems and will have experience of delivering designs for complex projects. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential to the role as the individual will be required to face off directly to senior business and project stakeholders.

Exposure to the following would be beneficial;
* UML, Agile, Waterfall
* Webservices/knowledge of WSDL
* Java (Servlets, JSPs, EJB, Javascript)

Qualifications:
* Formal BSc degree in relevant software engineering discipline, equivalent to UK 2nd class honours (preferred).
