Senior Web Developer/East Midlands/GBP50K.

This is a key role which will work closely with all other departments within the business. The Senior Web Developer will contribute to the development of several websites and internal software applications. The Developer will lead innovative software work across the business.

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities

• Develop external and internal facing websites within realistic time frames.
• Deliver responsive, cross-device functionality with a particular view to mobile site developments.
• Work closely with the marketing team in requirement gathering for the customer facing websites.
• Work with internal teams to define and build web reporting and communications systems.
• Clearly communicate technical designs, estimates, prioritisation and other development issues.
• Ensure all updates work correctly in development and staging environments, prior to promoting to live sites.
• This role will also need to contribute effectively to our site SEO and analytics capabilities.
• This role requires considerable flexibility in approach and effective capability to deliver end-to-end systems in a growing and changing organisation.
• Clearly communicate technical designs, estimates, prioritisation and other development issues
• Launch sites in multiple territories and languages
• Develop landing pages for campaigns
• Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
• Familiarity with current best practices in Web design.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications, Experience Required or Desired

• Experience developing database-driven web applications - Required

• Experience with database integration including MS SQL, Oracle and MySQL - Desired
• Familiarity with both LAMP and windows IIS application stacks - Required
