A well resourced Special Needs school (SEN) in Croydon is looking to appoint a teacher of Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) to start in March 2015, until December 2015 in a full-time position.


The class consists of 8 pupils aged between 11 -16 years old who have very complex needs. Excellent knowledge of what young people with PMLD need to progress is a must, along with a bubbly personality and the ability to work well within a team. The pupils are working at P Levels (2-5) therefore someone proficient with this curriculum is essential.


Teaching young people with additional needs requires a special kind of teacher and this is a great opportunity to work with enthusiastic young people and a supportive staff team. It should also be noted that part of the role does include taking part in the rota for personal care of the pupils.

* You must hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
