.NET Developer - Up to GBP45k, Chipping Norton, .Net, C#, WPF, Winforms, Agile

My Client in Chipping Norton (Oxfordshire) are looking for a .NET Developer to join them on a permanent basis!

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing organisation as part of the Information Systems Development Section.

The roles will include the following tasks:

. perform activities including, but not limited to: research, design, development, testing, maintenance, support
. assist in the design and implementation of new projects
. work on existing Legacy codes with a view to maintaining and enhancing them
. design and implement new software features and improve existing features as defined by the users and product owners
. investigate and fix coding defects
. write the necessary project documentation including technical documentation
. provide support for the other project team members and users in the build-up to a race weekend
. provide support to the testers and other members of IS to resolve customer issues
. comply with coding and architecture standards or assist in the creation of new standards when necessary
. be adaptable, committed to deadlines and willing to work in a fast-paced environment

Candidates will need to create and consume services using WCF, develop high performance systems using unit and automated testing tools. These roles will also involve complex system design and development working as part of an agile Scrum Team.

Candidates will be expected to have proven experience of Object Oriented Software Development standards and techniques, a solid background of development in C# using WPF or WinForms, together with experience of commercial C# .NET development.

Advanced skills in the following technologies is also required: SQL Server, MS Visual Studio 2012, unit testing and TDD.

The successful candidates will be part of an agile development team and be expected to use the best of their skills and development techniques to assist in the creation of software that supports the running of the team on a daily basis.

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal are a must and the ability to work under pressure alone or as part of a team is essential.
