The Company: You will work for a leading UK provider of business process outsourcing and integrated professional support service solutions. They have a strong track record in transforming services, saving costs and delivering value for clients, investors and stakeholders. They are now looking to employ a 'Pensions Administrator' on an initial 6 month contract.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:-

  • Ensure all transactions with customers are recorded in a timely, accurate and effective manner and the relevant records, computer and/or paper based are updated
  • Ensure that cases are progressed as efficiently as possible
  • Deliver consistent and reliable customer service by being proactive in your dealings with customers and responding professionally in all situations.
  • Prioritise own workload within guidelines in order to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Obtain missing information in the most effective manner by phone, fax, letter or e-mail complying with all regulatory and company guidance and procedures and ensuring that a full audit trail is maintained
  • Deal with dissatisfied customers to ensure a satisfactory resolution or escalate in line with the complaints procedure
  • Navigate a number of mainframe and information based systems
  • Work within a FCA regulated business ensuring at all times that services provided to customers (internal and external) are consistent with all relevant regulatory and legal frameworks, including adherence to data protection guidelines at all times by following client authentication procedures prior to divulging information.
  • To achieve and maintain full accreditation in line with set quality model/standards
  • To achieve set targets in line with required quality standards, pro-actively reporting emerging issues
  • Take responsibility for own learning and development, keeping up-to-date with all policy, procedural and regulatory developments, maintaining accreditation and making full use of available structured learning opportunities.

The Person:

Working experience within a life and pensions environment is highly desirable; however, working within the financial service industry is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Competent call handling skills. A good standard of numeracy and computer literacy skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook). Have meticulous attention to detail. Be highly organised and able to manage own workload to meet stretching targets and strict deadlines
