The Company:
Welsh/Slate is a dynamic natural stone manufacturer operating from sites in Bethesda and Blaenau Ffestiniog. The Company sells a wide range of slate products including Roofing, Aggregates, Architectural and Slateware goods to the UK and overseas markets. In order to maintain the rate of progress in consolidating its position as the leading UK natural slate producer and the solution of choice for many building projects the company is recruiting the following roles in its Architectural Department.

The Roles:
• Supervisor for Architectural and Slateware production based at Bethesda
• Skilled Production Operatives at both Bethesda and Blaenau Ffestiniog

All candidates would be expected to have a hands-on approach to working with natural stone; be able to complement the existing skills and capability within the business and skilled in the use of saw systems and the relevant hand held tools associated with the fabrication of architectural and craft products, which would include the manufacture of joints and application of adhesives.

The highest standards of finishing and attention to detail are expected in all aspects of work.

The ideal candidates should have the above skills and competences, however other skills associated with architectural manufacturing would be considered beneficial.
