Solution Designer - Datacentre, Cloud, Infrastructure - Liverpool

Square One are looking for a Solution Designer to come on board for a 6 month contract role based in Liverpool looking to start on 16th February.

Support Chief Engineer in translating business requirements in to functional requirements.
Support Chief Engineer by providing technical consultancy and effort estimations for new opportunities.
Custom Solution Design for new/upsell opportunities
Design solutions utilizing the HP portfolio of offerings and provide estimates of time required to deliver
Assess business impact of specific technologies/strategies
Identify and address technical or operational risks
Responsible for creation of SOW's and Costs for solutions for NSSR's
Provide Consultancy where appropriate for new/upsell opportunities
Map Customer requirements to VPC Standard Offerings

Deliverables:

Requirements Determination
High Level Tech Design
Migrations strategies
Pre-Sales technical solution design (technical input for DDA/Solution Developer)
Estimation
Bill of Materials - Servers, storage, racks (not the cost but the list with required hardware)

This is a 6 month role with a view to extend with interviews scheduled for next week paying market rates.
