The Company is introducing its biggest and best ever range of kitchen products and to support our progress we have a permanent vacancy for a Graphic Designer for our Major Appliance Division based at our office in Reading (RG2 0QX).

We are looking for a candidate who is a keen learner and driven to succeed. The successful candidate will work as a member of a team producing high quality creative graphic design material for use on product, in publications and other promotional materials in order to raise and maintain the profile of the fashionable brand.

Personal Profile

  • A creative, conscientious designer with 1+ years' experience in a senior design role
  • Able to create for digital work as well as traditional media
  • Full knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment handling multiple projects
  • Work well as a member of the team and have a can do positive attitude

Main role responsibilities

  • Use the latest computer technology and other appropriate mediums to produce creative and innovative graphic design/artwork for use in branding, product graphics, catalogue pages, adverts, presentations, publications, promotional materials and exhibitions.
  • Follow a variety of creative briefs supplied from team members to ensure design fully achieves its objectives and maintains an integrated, consistent approach.
  • Develop and use computer manipulation techniques on a wide range of base materials, including photographs, to provide colour correction, image enhancement and as necessary, image creation.
  • Develop catalogue pages for large high street retailers to fully communicate brand and product benefits.
  • To develop banner adverts, website and social media materials including HTLM coding and provide creative solutions to product launch campaigns.
  • Provide design files for product graphics, logos, packaging and POS for transfer to ID and ensure all work is produced in accordance with corporate and customer guidelines.
  • Assist in and undertake creative photographic work as required and maintain filing system of designs, communication designs, logos, icons, product graphics and images.
  • Produce detailed specifications for printing and related works in order to allow quotes to be sought.
  • Upload artworks and images to suppliers in a timely manner and according to set guidelines.
