Outstanding opportunity for dynamic, results-driven individual to join one of the UK’s leading private healthcare organisations.

Our client, a prestigious private hospital located in Bath, is currently seeking an Operations Lead to offer management, leadership and support within the hospital and assume responsibility for a designated remit of non-clinical services, as well as overall operational support for the hospital.

The post holder will be expected to take on varied and far-reaching responsibilities, to include:

  • Ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the hospital.
  • Delivery of key quality, performance and financial plans, achieving key service improvements within departments and line managing designated staff.
  • Working in conjunction with other senior management to ensure appropriate services are in place and to deliver national and local strategic and operational objectives and standards.
  • Ensuring, in conjunction with the lead nurse, that services are efficiently and effectively run within the hospital. This will be achieved through excellent human resource, financial and performance management.
  • Leading and driving changes to achieve improvements in processes throughout the hospital to deliver even better patient outcomes and financial balance
  • Taking the lead on specific service development issues to increase/reconfigure the range of services offered to meet the needs of the business and the local community. 
  • Operational responsibility (through deputies) for the Administration Department, including direct management responsibility for designated staff and direct budgetary control.
  • Meeting both the Administration department’s objectives and the strategic corporate objectives of the organisation.
  • Management of patient access for both private and NHS patients, placing an emphasis on patient flow to manage capacity and demand whilst meeting patient expectations and the RTT 18-weeks requirement for NHS patients
  • Deputising, where appropriate, for the General Manager in their absence.
  • Participating in the senior management on-call rota.

Applicants will be highly communicative managers with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of working in operational management roles within healthcare settings.

Exceptional motivational and performance management skills, along with demonstrable commercial and financial awareness, are all essential, whilst a good working knowledge of patient flow, theatre utilisation and the 18 week RTT operational standards would also be highly advantageous.
