A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Test Engineer / Technician to join a reputable electronics manufacturing company in Northallerton. You’ll be met with an excellent working environment, a specialised team and a generous salary.

The role

As an Electronics Test Engineer/Technician you will be responsible for the inspection and testing of PCB assemblies to meet specification, both as single assemblies and as part of finished product.  Your other responsibilities will include: 

•    Inspecting and testing PCB assemblies and finished product to detailed specifications and following standard operating procedures.

•    Faulting find down to component level of both PCB assemblies and finished product; including their repair and systems.

•    Uploading Software/Firmware into product.

•    Identifying requirements for, and the construction of, test rigs.

•    Keeping accurate records on MRP system and Test database.

•    Observing ESD controls and procedures.

•    Familiarity with IPC-A-610 workmanship standard.

What you’ll need

•    Relevant electronics qualification at City & Guilds, ONC or greater.

•    Proven ability in use of bench instrumentation and ATE (Automatic Test Equipment).

•    Experience of fault finding techniques; both digital and analog.

•    Knowledge of PAT (Portable Appliance Testing).

•    Knowledge of instrument calibration.
