Position: Service Desk Assistant Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm . Location: North West, Birkenhead Salary: £19,000 Benefits: 5 weeks holiday plus statutory holidays, contributory pension plan after qualifying period, UKhealthcare from day 1, free parking The Company: Our client is a rapidly expanding Financial Services company based on the Wirral. They now require a Service Desk Assistant. Job Purpose:
To provide initial contact and some first level support to interdepartmental staff who wish to request service from/report incidents to the IT teams. To perform administrative duties for the Technical Services teams.

Principal Accountabilities
To take ownership and respond to first line support incidents, through to a satisfactory resolution, escalating those incidents to next level where necessary. To ensure all incidents are correctly recorded within the Service Desk software, monitoring so they do not exceed their SLAs To accurately record and maintain team purchase details, staff holiday and sickness forms, produce reports for incident and change management, and maintain the contracts database. Where required, to provide extra resource in Print Services area, during busy periods or to cover for holidays and absence.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Training
Desirable Help Desk/Service Desk admin experience i-series(AS400)/JDE Knowledge of Windows operating systems Knowledge/awareness of ITIL Service Management Knowledge of IT Networking/Active Directory
