Waste Operations Manager

Based at: Bedlington, Northumberland • Salary: Competitive Salary
Reporting to: Board of Directors
Job Role: The role will be responsible for the day to day management of the waste management site, managing the plant and resources and managing all site staff to ensure the operation of the facility. This will include the management of the weighbridge system.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage waste operations and transport.
• Manage and motivate staff ensuring that they are sufficiently skilled and capable to fulfill the requirements of their roles
• To act as a company ambassador when dealing with customers.
• To complete all paperwork promptly and accurately as required.
• Maintain high standards of safety and actively encourage a safe culture.

Person Specification:
• Supervisory or management experience within waste management or similar environment.
• Essential literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good communicator with excellent people management /organisational skills.
• Works well with colleagues and is prepared to cover for absence when necessary.
• Works with minimal supervision and is prepared to use own initiative.
• Adaptable to changes in working procedures and practices and open to opportunities to improve own skills.
