HR Advisor

Amazing opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join a leading brand, where you will work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.

Boots Hearingcare is one of the UK's leading hearing care providers, operating from over 400 locations. The award winning business is expanding and currently has in excess of 400 personnel, As a HR Advisor you will join their professional HR team based from head office in Llandudno, North Wales.

Reporting to the HR Director, as HR Advisor, you will lead an effective Human Resource support function. This role will ensure that all employees are managed within Company policies and procedure. You will also provide HR consultancy and advice to leaders of a dedicated client group and work on projects as requested.

As a HR Advisor your responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Ensuring the Company is operating within statutory legislation in particular working conditions, disciplinary and grievance procedures, equal opportunities, maternity/paternity rights, flexible working and retirement
  • Managing the HR Administrator to ensure the delivery of a timely and accurate HR administration service to the business
  • Supporting recruiting managers and overseeing recruitment processes; producing job descriptions, placing adverts, working with external recruitment organisations, organising interviews and supporting assessment centres
  • Organising and overseeing the coordination of inductions for new employees
  • Auditing monthly payroll and liaising with Finance to ensure payments are accurate
  • Endorsing a positive culture throughout the business, always taking into consideration the general welfare of the Company's employees
  • Providing management information to support leaders in managing their departments effectively and proactively, e.g. absence, performance management, succession planning, recruitment, etc.
  • Promoting engagement with the employees by supporting and encouraging feedback.
  • Co-ordinating and supporting key HR business projects and on-going reviews

To be considered for this HR Advisor role you will have the following experience, qualifications, skills and attributes;

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Proactive approach to work, with self-motivation and drive
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work with colleagues at all levels
  • Diplomatic with tact, and ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure
  • Superior organisation and prioritisation skills
  • IT proficiency with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Smart professional appearance

CIPD qualification is desirable although not essential.

Starting Salary:             £21,000 - £25,000 per annum, dependent on current level of experience and qualifications. Plus performance based annual bonus

Excellent Benefits:        Pension scheme, Boots discount card, annual performance bonus and life assurance cover after completion of probationary period, childcare voucher scheme, annual leave entitlement starting at 20 days and rising with length of service incrementals to a maximum of 30 days per annum, plus statutory holidays.

Hours of Work:             37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexibility will be required to meet the business needs)
