2015 is a particularly exciting time to be working at BMW Hams Hall. With the introduction of new manufacturing facilities, they now need to recruit for a Weekend Maintenance Shift Manager to join their team on the night shift. 

BMW Plant Hams Hall is an integral part of BMW Group's global engine production network, manufacturing fuel efficient, low emission engines for BMW and MINI vehicles sold around the world. They are currently investing in their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities at Hams Hall, preparing for the production of the next generation of BMW engines. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled maintenance professional from an automated process background looking to develop their career with a world renowned automotive company. 

In this integral role within BMW’s plant, you’ll have the chance to contribute to the success and efficiency of the company’s maintenance activities. 

As the Weekend Maintenance Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily needs of the weekend maintenance night shift. 

You’ll lead any breakdown situations, maintain output volumes, support planned maintenance activities and manage any maintenance personnel issues. 

Your other duties will include: 

- Ensuring that efficiency and availability targets are met 
- Planning and implementing facility improvements 
- Participating in project planning activities 
- Optimising equipment to resolve any recurring issues 

To be considered for this role, you must have: 

- At least five years’ maintenance experience gained within an automated process environment 
- A mechanical, electrical or technical qualification with additional specialist knowledge 

As the Weekend Maintenance Shift Manager, you must be honest, flexible and reliable with superb leadership skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. A proactive and self-motivated approach is also key. 

Please note, candidates will be required to pass a drugs screening test prior to commencing their role. 

The working hours for this role are weekend night shifts, working 12 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
