Care Assistant/Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker - Part Time

Job Title: Part-time Night Care Assistant (Ref: NCA) and Bank Care Assistants (Ref: BKCA)

Based: Olton, Solihull, B27

Salary: £14,105 to £16,550 pa (£7.75 to £9.10 per hr) plus benefits

Job Role:

Sir Josiah Mason Trust (a well-established charitable care provider) currently has a permanent vacancy for a part-time Night Care Assistant (17.5 hrs per week) and temporary vacancies for Care Assistants to work on a casual basis in Alexandra House, the Trust’s residential care home in Olton, Solihull.

You will share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of the Trust’s elderly residents in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes their independence.  You will also help in the general day-to-day activities of the home.

Key Skills:

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care required for the Night position and previous relevant experience caring for older people, is absolutely essential for both roles. 
• The Trust is looking for professional, self-motivated team players who are sensitive to the needs of older people. 
• As the posts involve caring for vulnerable adults, an enhanced DBS check will be taken up for successful candidates by the Trust.
