Due to growth within the Group, our practice is seeking a Practice Manager to support our Partner, deliver exceptional customer service and manage our established successful team. Our bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery in Grimsby is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.
The team are looking for the ideal candidate who wants to put pets first; do what they say they will do; work well as part of the team; want to get better every day; take pride in their work and wants to have fun! Agata’s new colleague will have strong team management and organisational skills with previous experience of managing people arranging rotas, colleague appraisals and setting goals, also improving profit and loss of the practice. This role will include some of the following:-
- Day to day management of the reception desk including organising rotas and team training
- Ensuring the team are fully updated with surgery promotions
- Networking with local charities and organisations to develop working relationships
- Identifying marketing initiatives to attract new clients to the surgery
- Ensuring regular updates are communicated to the team
- Working with the nursing team to identify additional nursing opportunities such as clinics
- Ensuring the client database is updated and efficient at all times
- Review and improve processes
- Review performance reports and identify opportunities
- Inducting and training new team members
The successful candidate will have strong people skill, excellent communication, administration skills and a strong customer service focus. You may have worked within a retail or commercial environment, ideally with staff management and budget responsibilities looking to work with animals. You will work with a clinical team whom are very passionate about our clients, therefore imperative that you appreciate what it takes to work within the veterinary sector, as part of larger Group.
