We are looking for an ambitious and skilled Software Tester, who has worked within the Embedded software area, and who wants to be part of something new and exciting.

Your role will be to:
Write test cases and plans for Embedded, PC and web based applications
Set up control test frameworks, and then execute test cases and plans
Develop and implement test methodologies for use across the entire product range
Having found any bugs or issues, report these to the development team
Produce an assessment of software products for Project Managers and Software Team Leaders, that are able to progress or not, on a case by case basis
Also work closely with other internal teams such as Marketing and Production, to ensure that product meet their exacting requirements

Have an excellent verbal and communication skills in English, be pro-active, a team player and be able to prioritise your workload

So what skills are essential for this role?
Proven experience gained within a commercial test environment
Proficiency with Scripting, using a language such as Python, Bash, Perl and automated test frameworks
Experience of PC and Server application tests, and also of UNIX and Linux
Worked with Embedded/consumer electronics system test systems
Testing device functionality, communications and interfaces
Logging, analysing and communicating test results to all parties

It would be beneficial to have the following experience:
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development techniques
Testing remote upgrades of devices
Performance, scalability and reliability testing

This role is paying a salary between GBP38,000 to GBP45,000 plus 25 days hols, Pension etc.
