THE ROLE
The role is to become a primary member of the companies applications and product development software team. 80% of the role will be based around code development with a small amount of technical support involved.

THE ROLE
The role is to become a primary member of the companies applications and product development software team. 80% of the role will be based around code development with a small amount of technical support involved.
- To become a primary member of the company's applications and product development software team;
- To use and become highly familiar with the company's MIRLIN iris recognition SDK, and to a lesser extent, third party camera SDKs, within application development;
- To use this knowledge in developing the company's products and sub-systems, for example in Identity Management and Logical Access Control, which will require linking iris recognition functionality with simple database structures and network services protocols;
- To develop Graphic User Interfaces for these products;
- Once familiar with products and software, to provide technical and applications development support to Smart Sensors' customers (eg able to explain to customers' software staff how to use MIRLIN SDK to create applications using the most common iris functions) on the company's product range
- To issue software licences to customers and assist company admin to manage licensees, including in due course improving the renewals management system;
- In due course become hardware and software applications expert in the company's products;

- Microsoft Visual Studio/Windows knowledge

- An understanding of Network Protocols
- Exposure to Eclipse/Linux
- Unit Testing
- Some Exposure to ARM Microprocessors
- Digital Signal/Image Processing
- An appreciation of the maths behind image processing
