They now have an exciting opportunity for a Group Exams Officer to join them, where you will oversee and monitor the Exams functions and processes to ensure operational excellence, data quality and compliance with awarding bodies and College policies.

Within the role of the Exams Officer, you will manage and recruit staff and invigilators in the Exams department to ensure quality and consistency of transactional processes across the Group whilst monitoring, reviewing and reporting on performance. Making sure all aspects of exam registration and recording achievements are accurate, credible and inputted and maintained on the College systems, you will be responsible for a case load of student registration and examination entries with awarding bodies, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.

They are looking for someone with experience of managing within a customer services environment, who a successful track record of influencing teams to achieve KPI’s as well as an understanding of education and the related quality assurance processes. With the ability to collate, analyse, interpret and report on data, you will have a strong vision for improving and enhancing the student experience, along with excellent planning and organisational skills.

As the successful candidate, you will have English and Maths GCSE (Grade A-C) coupled with a recent CPD and ideally a management qualification. Experience of working in an Exams department is desirable but not essential; what is important is that you are able to deal with new concepts, have strong leadership and management skills and be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure to a high level of accuracy. With excellent communication skills, you will be a motivator and inspire others whilst having a professional and responsive attitudes towards colleagues and clients.

Please note, during the year, at peak periods of exams it will be necessary to impose an annual leave block. At this time the role will include additional hours to maintain the service and provide invigilator duties, therefore a level of flexibility is required.
