Sales Consultant - Software

Are you a software sales consultant with an ability to manage long-term sales cycles ?

The opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Sales Consultant for our innovative and forward-thinking Software Company in Newcastle upon Tyne. They're a hugely successful business and part of Group who are growing fast as a Software and Supplier of SaaS and Supplier Relationship Management solutions to the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

You will be joining a successful sales team and will initially be working with their Procurement product, whilst also introducing award winning Spend Analysis, eSourcing, eAuction, Contract Management solutions which support customers by alleviating the pressures procurement professionals face when purchasing and managing supplier relationships. Using this clients proprietary, cloud-based technology they are seen as one of the most intuitive solutions in their market and they have been impressive in the way new and existing clients are engaging with them across particular market sectors.

The role

You'll have proven sales experience working at a consultative level and may have focussed on public and private sector customers in the past. You will be self-sufficient in terms of how you are able to generate your own meetings and feel comfortable in presenting live demos to prospective decision-makers and be confident in how you manage challenges and follow up on offering solutions. Also you will enjoy building and maintaining long term relationships and be open to introducing new innovative software solutions to targeted clients.

A thorough training program is provided along with shadowing and mentoring programs for you to gain confidence and take advantage. Salary is GBP35k Basic + Car or Allowance + OTE GBP70k + Benefits.

Who you'll be

* A proven sales consultant and confident in selling solutions
* Experience of selling product software is a pre-requisite
* You will have a consultative approach and be able to build relationships at all levels
* Be resilient and patient with working to long-terms sales cycles and see the bigger picture
* An aggressive sales manner is not what we are seeking for this position
* You will be self-sufficient in your work as no pre-sales support will be provided
* Your confidence, positive attitude and ability to present to small audiences is essential
* Experience of the Public & Private sector selling would be an advantage
* Ability to travel across the United Kingdom is needed
