Finance Business Manager

Children’s services is responsible for the delivery of high quality services to children and young people, funded through income from local authorities and government agencies as well as Barnardo's voluntary funds.

Finance Business Managers are responsible for all aspects of the financial management of a group of localities within the nation.

The Finance Business Manager will assist the nation’s Director and Assistant Director Finance in the development and management of the nation and its localities, through the provision of excellent financial analysis, advice and guidance.

You will support the operational management of the localities’ resources including:

• Budget review including contribution to the annual budget process,
• Forecasting, within the financial year and longer term,
• Monitoring and reporting of financial performance against budgets,
• Identification and mitigation of financial risks,
• Provision of financial analysis, advice and guidance to the locality, management team, other managers and administrators and Finance Officers and Assistants.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (desirable) or AAT qualified or CIMA / ACCA / ACA part qualified and will bring experience at a strategic level and as a business partner to budget holders.

As part of the post you must have flexibility in working hours and location.
