Optimus search is looking for Firmware Engineers. Our client - based in Cambridge - is a pioneer in a wide range of industries from financial services, high performance computing, high performance computing, cloud computing and many more. This is an exciting opportunity to work extensively with the hardware/software interface involving networking in some capacity, programming in C and occasional Assembler for high performance environments.

Skills Required:

Essential Skills and Experience:

• PhD, first class or 2:1 from well ranked university
• Proven commercial experience developing in C
• Software and hardware codesign
• Ethernet &TCP/IP
• Embedded systems ideally with the extensive knowledge of system software and device drivers.
• PCI - Express
• Digital design (Verilog/VHDL)
• (previous experience with Verilog and working within a silicon company will be helpful).
