System Analyst - Retail Sector - London

My Client is one of the UK's leading Software & Service providers. They deliver complete solutions to a wide range of retailers throughout the UK and Europe.

We are looking for someone to be the bridge between the business analysts and the development team. We need someone who can transform the business analysis output to program specifications. The database information will need to be transformed into system architecture

The right candidate will be expected to work very closely with the business analysts and a range of retail customers, to gather and define new requirements as well as analyse existing systems for possible improvements.

Role and Responsibilities:
* Working experience as a System Analyst
* Analyse clients' requirements to create functional specifications for product/system improvements.
* Strong structured systems analysis, modelling and design skills
* Liaising with on and off-shore development team to develop the changes and agreeing timescales
* Test product-level functionality and new releases. Identify and communicate areas for improvement
* Configure system settings and options, and execute unit/integration/acceptance testing
* Work with support analysts to manage bug repository
* Some UK wide travel may be required

Technical skills:
* Excellent knowledge of software development and implementation life cycle
* Excellent knowledge of SQL Server database implementation
* Understanding of architecture, framework and object models that support the business application to be implemented
* Good understanding of latest Microsoft technologies
