SQL DBA - Cardiff, Wales - Database Administrator

SQL DBA (Business Intelligence SQL Server) - Cardiff, Wales.

DBA/Database administrator/Data-base administrator required for an industry leading, rapidly expanding client to administer, and maintain Database systems using Microsoft SQL Server.

This is to include Data Warehousing and ETL functions, together with Production support of OLTP databases. You will be responsible for supporting Microsoft SQL Servers and ensuring their performance, availability and security. Perform requirements capture and design, assist with solutions designs and implement and support ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). You will have experience of database administration using SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2005 in a commercial environment, You will have practical experience in monitoring and tuning SQL Server databases, experience of T- SQL, SSRS, SSIS and use of DMVs. You will also have Database Design and administration skills including Data Sizing, Profiling.

Any experience of DBA using SQL Server 2012, 2008 and 2005 in a Data Warehousing environment would be desirable as would any ETL experience using Microsoft SQL Server Integraion Services. Any Cognos, Kimball, DTS experience would also be an advantage as would any Financial Services Industry experience.
