DevOps Engineer - Open Source

Location:

Glasgow

Salary:

To Circa GBP50,000

Key Skills/Experience - A mixture of some/all of the following:

  • Linux (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Firewall/networking configuration)
  • Configuration Management tooling and techniques such as Puppet, Ansible or Chef
  • Deployment Tools such as Capistrano, Passenger or Fabric
  • Automation Tools such as Vagrant or Packer
  • Linux containers and management
  • Dynamic Languages such as Python or Ruby
  • Cloud provision and tooling (OpenShift, AWS, Google Cloud Compute, Azure)
  • Continuous Integration and Build Tools (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle)

The Role:

This role would be ideal for an experienced DevOps professional who also has strong Test Driven Development experience. You will be part of a team who are not restricted in the tools that they use of the approaches that they take to developing the best solutions for their clients. Your role will be varied and you will be joining a team who already have a strong bond and the real desire to grow and continually produce world-leading software solutions utilising Open Source technologies.

The Ideal Candidate:

You will be a motivated and dedicated team-player able to work in small agile teams and also have the drive to work independently. You will show a flair for creative and innovative solutions to difficult problems. You will also have strong communication skills, able to discuss and present complex technical information with colleagues and customers.
