2 Senior JavaScript Developers URGENTLY required.

My renowned client requires 2 Front End JavaScript engineers to work, as part of an Agile team, on a project to completely re-develop an established web application. Individuals who excel in developing JavaScript code to meet complex user requirements. Team players who can also take ownership of their assigned sub-projects and through initiative and self-motivation, drive those to successful delivery. You are passionate about web development and have a proven track record of delivering solutions as part of a team. You consider yourself a craftsman in your field with a keen eye for detail and desire for perfection balanced with a pragmatic approach. You keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques of web development and are able to impart that knowledge to the wider team. Their library of choice is Dojo - although you may feel that you have relevant experience in developing web application interfaces using other libraries/frameworks that would make you suitable for this role.

Responsibilities

Delivering Front End web application modules based on user stories and UX/UI designs

Developing Javascript/HTML/CSS in an Agile team environment

Collaborating with UX/UI designers to overcome and adapt designs to technical restrictions

Ensuring code meets quality and security requirements

Contributing ideas and experience to the rest of the team

Skills and Experience - Essential

Comprehensive knowledge of the JavaScript language - with 5+ years of commercial experience

Previous experience of using JavaScript libraries/frameworks (eg Dojo, Backbone.js, Angular.js)

Thorough understanding of HTML and CSS - including HTML5 and CSS3

Thorough understanding of DOM manipulation through Javascript

Understanding of OO programming

Ability to write clean, well structured and maintainable JavaScript code

Knowledge of HTTP protocol - previous experience of consuming RESTful APIs

Previous experience of developing web applications

Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

Experience of writing a JavaScript Editor

Experience of developing responsive and/or adaptive web designs

Experience of HTML based mobile applications

Understanding of techniques for developing accessible web user interfaces.
