SEN TEACHER
SEN SLD Teacher required in Blackpool - Starting ASAP
BESS is currently recruiting on behalf of a progressive Special School in Blackpool.
We require committed and enthusiastic individuals with who have experience within SEN and SLD educational establishments for a Teaching position starting ASAP.
BESS is the Blackpool Authorities dedicated supply service who supply to schools within the Blackpool area. As a BESS teacher will have a dedicated consultant who will work with you to find the most suitable positions based on your experience and qualifications.
You will be helping with the pastoral support of pupils in KS2, 3, 4 and 5. You will be taking a supporting role in multi-agency planning and communication, liaison with schools, supporting learning and providing tutoring for pupils who are hard to engage. Communicating pupil needs to other staff including teachers and mentors, supporting transitions to schools.

The school has excellent and leadership and management. It specialises in supporting learners who have various disabilities including autistic spectrum disorder and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The school applies a holistic approach to learning, and works closely with speech therapists and the school nurse, as well as outside agencies to enable all children and young people with special educational needs to access the curriculum.
Pupils make excellent progress and achieve well across a wide range of subjects and life skills. They enjoy a supportive environment and have strong, respectful relationships with the team. You will be working children who can be hard to engage and have a variety of needs.

The ideal candidate would have experience of teaching or working with SEN students and a passion for supporting and encouraging students through a whole child approach.
