An Academy secondary school located in the county of Essex is seeking to recruit a Teacher of Physics for a September 2015 start. Whilst this post is initially temporary, it has the possibility of becoming permanent.
The school ensures that students of all abilities feel valued so that they are able to reach their full potential by being enriched with a wealth of opportunities so that all talents are identified and nurtured. Ofsted awarded the school a Grade 2 'Good' in its most recent inspection with the report stating that there is strong evidence of the school's capacity for further improvement due to there being a sharp focus on students progress and lessons are now more engaging with varied learning activities. The large majority of teaching is good or better as teachers have secure subject knowledge and classroom relationships are very productive. Students behaviour is good and they are motivated and engaged in their work.
There are approximately 1500 pupils of mixed gender aged 11-18 on the teaching roll with 200 of these pupils enrolled in the Sixth form. Students of all abilities are encouraged to take part in the wide variety of extra curricular activities that take place throughout the year including music, drama and sports clubs. The school is set in extensive grounds and there has been a major investment in buildings and technology which includes a modern learning centre and an all weather 3G football pitch.
Transport links to the location of the school are good with the nearest train station within a mile and London Stansted Airport a 35 minute journey by car.
To be eligible to apply for this post you are required to be a qualified or newly qualified teacher.
