Cestria Community Housing are seeking a Procurement Coordinator based in Chester-le-Street, Durham, offering an excellent salary of up to £23,520 per annum, superb career opportunities, excellent working environment in an award winning ethical business.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Coordinator to join Cestria Community Housing Association on a temporary basis until March 2016.  As our Procurement Coordinator, you will report to Cestria’s Programme Manager delivering effective procurement services to the Association and to support the Group’s wider procurement strategy. You will work in collaboration with, and support Group Procurement initiatives and liaise with all relevant internal stakeholders to support lower level spend activity and deliver major procurement requirements.

Accountabilities of a Procurement Coordinator:

With 2 years of public sector procurement experience and working knowledge of EU Procurement Directives you will help to deliver effective procurement services to the Association and to support the Group’s wider procurement strategy. Other responsibilities of the role include:

- Supporting all relevant stakeholders throughout the procurement process; from formulating strategy and preparing documents, to evaluation, contract drafting and hand-over

- Liaising with all relevant internal stakeholders to support lower level spend activity and deliver major procurement requirements

- Supporting the delivery of in-house training in procurement

- Promoting and championing the strategic role of Procurement within the Association, and to help deliver the Group’s business plan with effective procurement.

Essential skills and experience to become our Procurement Coordinator:

- Two years of public sector procurement experience & working knowledge of EU Procurement Directives

- Knowledge of public sector procurement legislation

- Experience of using Microsoft Office (or equivalent) for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, emails etc

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to time manage, organise and prioritise work with limited supervision

- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

- Ability to liaise with, build relationships and influence multiple stakeholders within a multi-site organisation 

The ideal candidate will have Procurement or Supply Chain training / qualifications or equivalent and will have significant experience of working in a similar role over a period of at least 2 years.
