Product Specialist

Job Elements: -

• To specify a product that meets the customer’s requirements to an agreed standard of quality, margin and timescale.
• Maintenance of all product enquiries.
• Completion of matrix/specifications from information supplied by sales personnel.
• Updating matrix/specifications on a regular basis from information supplied by both Sales and Studio.
• Complete specifications for quotation purposes,
• Upon receipt of quotes, check previous jobs for similar costs across products and suppliers and challenge where necessary.
• Produce cost matrix and review with Account Manager before Senior Management team authorise.
• Check pre-production and production samples and confirm acceptance with production sites.
• Maintain cost order books analysis for review.
• Actively contribute to New Product Development and be aware of its development in other areas of the business.

• Would suit a graduate looking to progress within a busy International business.
• Must be self-motivated and keen
• Have a can do attitude
• Good, confident communication skills – able to communicate at all levels within the organisation and to people working abroad.
• Analytical skill base is critical.
• Flexible approach and willing to work additional hours when the job requires to meet deadlines.
• Must be computer literate (Microsoft packages)
