Job Title: Sous Chef – Firenze Restaurant & Bar
Location: Nantwich, Cheshire
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Sous Chef required in Nantwich, Cheshire for an independently owned contemporary restaurant.
This role will become available from mid-February when our client's existing Sous Chef is being promoted to Head Chef within their next new opening. Their menus focus on fresh, quality ingredients. They make their own breads, pizzas and pastas from scratch. They have an 80+ cover restaurant, split over two floors, with an open kitchen and clay pizza oven on the ground floor. This restaurant is part of a larger group, and has been operating for five years with an excellent reputation for high-quality food and drink in a lively and modern atmosphere having already been established.
In this position you will be expected to display passion and flare, creating and developing dishes which will meet their customers high expectations. Impeccable organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential. You must be service and standards driven and be able to communicate well with Front of House.
Sous Chef - Role:
• To be accountable for the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring it is run to the company’s standards.
• Controlling ordering and dry stock in Head Chefs absence – meeting with company standards.
• Effectively manage the kitchen brigade in Head Chefs absense, split over the two floors of the restaurant, whilst maintaining motivation.
• Complete due diligence (H&S, H.A.C.C.P, Company Paperwork etc).
This role forms a key part of their senior management team and as such you will have a great deal of influence over the performance of the business and how the restaurant progresses. They expect to be continuing to work towards awards and accolades, and your level of success within the business will be recognised.
Experience of having already worked as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef De Parties would be an advantage but they will also consider experienced Chefs for this role if an appropriate level of skill and ambition is shown.
