SEN Tutors required - Caerphilly

The Job:

Our client, based in Caerphilly, is looking for several home tutors with previous SEN experience. The tuition will take place at the child's home, obviously with at least 1 parent or legal guardian present also. Most of the bookings we get from this client last for 2 hours a day, and tend to be long term (not day to day). The children this 'at home' provision is catered for can vary very dramatically. It could be that a child has broke their leg and so cannot attend school, it could be that they have been expelled and not placed into a provision yet, or it could be that the child is anxious/distressed about school and so they respond better to at home education. Bookings tend to be from Monday to Friday and the rate of pay is ?30 per hour. Mostly it will be core subjects that need to be delivered, and then speciality subjects can be factored in if the child has a general interest in it. There is no limit on the amount of children you can tutor in 1 day e.g 1 of our tutors tutor 3 children per day, consecutively after one another. FE tutors considered. Work is set by school.

There are plentiful opportunities for you to remain on day to day supply and even to pick up another long term vacancy or permanent role. There are car parking facilities here should you wish to drive, and the school are also easily accessible by train or bus. The school have a strong supportive staff structure, and are always happy to help and give guidance should you need it.

The Child:

The school has a wide catchment area, encompassing pupils from a variety of backgrounds and with varying levels of difficulties and ability. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of differentiation within the classroom, and also an emphasis on behaviour management and inclusive learning. They will also have a strong passion and enthusiasm for education and have a real drive to motivate pupils in their learning.
