Driving Instructor
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue, Headquarters, Littleover. Driving Instructor. Paying £25,440 - £29,558 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
2 years fixed term until February 2017
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service are looking to recruit an experienced Approved Driving Instructor on a 2 year contract to train our staff in driving a range of operational and support vehicles. Working with our existing high performing Driver Training team, you will play an active role in developing novice and experienced drivers to a high standard of competency.
As our Driving Instructor you will need to demonstrate high levels of integrity and flexibility, and be able to show evidence of developing the driving skills of other across a range of vehicles through one to one tuition and through provision of supporting training material.
Emergency response driving experience would be beneficial but is not essential
You will be required to undertake some work from Alfreton Fire Station and any other Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service location as necessary.
The normal working week is 37 hours however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours and at evenings and weekends as required.
