The largest secure solutions company in the world, the second largest private employer on the London Stock Exchange and one of Britain’s top Employers are seeking a Cashier to join their expanding team in Basingstoke offering a salary of £22629. Their Cash Management Solutions business has expertise in cash and valuables transportation, cash processing, ATM and cash centre outsourcing, secure storage and retrieval.
You will be working the hours of 2.00 pm - 10.00 pm.
As a Cashier you will:
• Be responsible for maintaining the Audit Trail into within and out of the Deposit Processing Department all times and within Company Guidelines. Ensure all procedures maintained throughout organisation.
• Ensure a high quality of service is constantly maintained and monitor and improve production.
• Be responsible for the supervision of Cashiers.
• Ensure that Cashiers are constantly and consistently supplied with work, to ensure optimum efficiency.
• Maintain department KPI’s and monitor performance accordingly.
• Ensures working areas and equipment are kept clean and tidy.
• Oversee the preparation of bank amalgamation and ensure necessary deadlines are met at all times.
• Authorise any discrepancies and ensures these are documented correctly.
• Monitor and ensure correct procedures are followed in respect of handling money, completing the relevant documentation and data input.
• Ensure all issues and problems are brought to the attention of the Section Manager
• Monitor customer data on system ensuring accuracy at all times.
• Train new staff (initial, refresher and contingency).
• Customer contact - responds to queries, requests for information
The ideal Cashier will hold the following skills and experiences:
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Must be able to work to set procedures and as part of a team.
• Excellent numerical and keyboard skills.
• Well developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
• Be prepared to challenge existing practices to deliver operational improvements
