Electro-mechanical Development Technician

Summary: -

• Assists in the design, development and lifecycle management of electro mechanical products.
• Builds prototypes from design drawings including machining and assembly of mechanical components and wiring and soldering of electrical components on PCB’s and modules.
• Participates in the creation of complete documentation packages, which will include part models, assembly models, detail drawings, assembly drawings, commercial part specifications, and Bills of Materials.
• Coordinates the purchase or fabrication of prototype parts.
• Assists various departments in troubleshooting and supporting products both in the factory and in the field.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years’ experience as electro-mechanical technician.
• Dexterity in mechanical and electrical tasks such as soldering SMT devices, assembling tight tolerance parts, etc.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical models and prints and electronic schematics and basic tasks with Pro E or other CAD tools.
• Ability to debug electro-mechanical components including mechanical and electrical measurements using callipers, oscilloscopes, and various other lab instrumentation.
• Machinist experience with tools such as lathes, milling machines, etc.
• Programming skills in C, LabVIEW would be highly desirable
