My client is a household name and industry leader in Video Compression and Video Broadcast. Whilst you may not necessarily associate them with media and video streaming, the likelihood is that much of the TV you watch from home is broadcast using their equipment. They seek a Video Compression specialist to join the team based on the South Coast of England to bridge the gap between the Customer Support Team and the Software Development team.

You'll be fully conversant in Digital Video Broadcast Products and Systems and have a strong knowledge of the tools used for diagnosis. The role will suit either a Delivery or Support Engineer looking to develop a deeper technical background, or a Software Engineer looking to gain some Customer Experience.

Skills:

Essential:
DVB Broadcast Products and / or systems
Diagnosis Tools - SSH, SNMP, FTP, Telnet
Video Compression

You will also have knowledge of most, if not all of the following:
MPEG
IP Networking
DVB-C / DVB-S / DVB-CA / Video over IP
Java / Perl / Python or Similar
