A role has arisen within the Test Support Team in Service Validation & Testing for a Software Engineer to develop and maintain tooling to support testing teams within Visa Europe. SV&T provide a service of testing across Visa Europe.
Key Accountabilities:
- Liaise with stakeholders to ascertain their tooling requirements and document them
- Design and develop new tools to meet stakeholder requirements
- Maintain existing tooling to fix issues identified and to enhance functionality
- Document tools developed to provide accurate user and maintenance support
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to Team Lead throughout project life cycles
- Assist in test planning for projects by providing accurate estimates
Essential Criteria:
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Java (including concurrency, swing, swt, struts etc.)
- Knowledge of SVN, Maven and GIT.
- Very good knowledge of SQL (including stored procedures, T-SQL and indexing)
- Knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting and Perl
- Use of Test Driven Development
- Ability to work within different SDLC (Waterfall and Agile)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills
- In-depth business knowledge of the card payment sector (Authorisation, Clearing & Settlement) an advantage
