Senior Web Lead/Principal Web Lead - Java/J2EE .Net, PHP, Jboss, Cloud

As the Principal Web Lead you will be working within the Business Change and Delivery team responsible for oversight of all Web based change work and a development pool of both internal and external resources.

You will be delivering enterprise class web development to enable business solutions. Reporting to the Director of Technology and Solutions, you will engage with a broad range of stakeholders, from senior management down across all of our divisions and functions. You will lead internal and external development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all Web front and Back End implementation projects assigned to this team, to renew or enhance the existing web application landscape
• Translating of business requirements, high level design and master data requirements into detailed technical design
• Design high quality solutions to meet the functional requirements
• Coordination of test planning and execution
• Solution deployment and transition to support
• Support training and documentation
• Partner with the Business Process Owners and Business Leadership on the design, build and execution of projects assigned to this team
• Partner with the leaders of Information Management, Enterprise Architecture and Integration teams within the Business Change & Delivery team, to leverage their expertise and to engage the resources needed for the programs approved by the business
• Partner with the Architecture and Engineering team to arrive at realistic time and implementation effort estimates
• Manage the web development teams to direct the technical lead, development lead and developers, and co-ordinate resources across other IT teams, for projects involving web components
• Partner with the Service Operations team & Transition Manager to transition completed projects into service for ongoing support
• Partner with the Business Partner Relationship Management teams to leverage the vendor strategy for on-boarding project resources in a manner that represents ARM's best interests and meets all ARM's ethical policies and standards
• Partner with other IT teams to deliver high-quality and robust end-to-end solutions in an efficient and timely manner
• Project design to ensure that the new roadmap does not compromise the current production systems.
• Conduct technology assessments in scope of the overall Digital strategy, for both On-Premise and Cloud as required
• Collaborate with the Application Solutions Designer to support an application portfolio which will focus on evolving ARMs business applications, from redundant "point-solutions" to scalable common solutions
• Work with the IT Security function to ensure that all ARM's global applications have the required levels of security and protection of ARM's business information.
• Lead career development and succession management efforts to ensure retention, motivation and engagement of current and future staff.
• Promote and manage knowledge development for team-members

Job Requirements:

Key Skills

• Proven experience in enterprise-grade software systems design and development. Specializing in pure Java/J2EE, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic or web applications such as .NET, PHP (Zend, Symphony, Cake, appserver.io), Ruby or Pytho
• Experience of any of the following application Servers/frameworks an advantage - Jboss, Spring, Struts
• Must have experience of multiple large enterprise software systems.
• Experience of working with cloud/remote computing services (Amazon EC2 (AWS), Google Cloud, Openstack or Azure)
• Good experience of working with multiple technologies across multiple front ends - Javascript (JQuery), HTML5, node.js
• The ideal candidate will have experience in the following functional areas
  • Web application front-ends driven by Back End relational databases
  • Distributed Client Server applications
  • Managed file transfer
  • Software licensing technology
  • Experience in working with stakeholders across a range of levels.
  • Ability to build viable working prototypes from own initiative and senior direction
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
