Technical Support Engineer (Microsoft - SQL - VMware - Cloud - Service Desk)

Salary: GBP35-45k Package (Depending on Experience)

secureVirtual are looking for an experienced engineer to join our team, reporting to the Technical Service Delivery Manager.

Based in Richmond-upon-Thames, SW London, secureVirtual designs, hosts and manages business critical cloud' environments for our clients, ensuring availability, performance and security via our own multi data-centre virtualised IaaS platform.

It is expected that the successful candidate would have a minimum 3 years' experience in one of the below areas, be able to act at a third line level for support, and be able to competently lead in the service delivery with respect to client solutions in that area:

  • Microsoft Server 2012, Microsoft SQL desirable, Exchange, IIS, AD, MSCS, RDS/RDSH
  • VMware and Virtualisation technologies
  • Remote Desktop Services Microsoft Terminal Server and/or Citrix XenApp/VMWare (Horizon) View
  • Networking including LAN/WAN architecture, Cisco experience, Router and Firewall configuration experience, and understanding of the following technologies: VPN, MPLS, VoIP

The right candidate will help to ensure that secureVirtual maintains a customer centric focus whilst offering the best technical solutions, and ultimately deliver the following key results:

  • Deliver technically complex solutions following project plans and assisting with the technical delivery of services where necessary to ensure customer solutions are delivered to time and budget.
  • Ensure client retention and help the business to grow through excellent customer service and technical authority such that customers will be pleased to recommend our services.
  • Play your part in achieving team KSI's and KPI's by leading by example and ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to be successful in meeting team and business objectives.
  • Solve difficult problems working with the team to figure out how to deliver the best solution or fix to a customer problem, or just how to just be more efficient!
