Sales Manager
Scope:
Act as an ambassador of the hotel, optimising business potential and building brand awareness to identify and secure new clients from assigned markets for bedrooms, meetings and events, all food & beverage outlets, equestrian and spa.
Main Duties:
* Nurture existing clients and to develop new business in the Berkshire and surrounding area across all market segments.
* Develop close relationships with clients through telesales, appointments, presentations, entertainment and Fam. trips.
* Drive transient, group and event revenue.
* Responsible for nurturing, maintaining and developing business for all aspects of Coworth Park, (bedrooms, restaurants, events) in designated market segments and territories.
* Promote Coworth Park as the number one hotel in the countryside and to gain a reputation as a "must know" contact across client base.
* Work as a highly valued team member and to gain an understanding of the various different markets visiting Coworth Park.
* Introduce The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane to client base, to sell all three properties with passion, enthusiasm and understanding.
* Meet prospective clients and conduct show-rounds for both arranged appointments and ad-hoc visitors, for events, groups and corporate transient business.
* Build strong relationships with clients to fully understand their needs to achieve and exceed their expectations
* Be mindful and responsible for optimising Coworth Park's revenue to achieve hotel and personal goals.
* Act as a high level communicator and knowledgeable expert for corporate business.
* Meet all business objectives set in the Sales and Marketing plan
* Conduct an average of 10 appointments per week with all activities duly noted in Delphi with follow up and future activities in place.
* Ensure seamless handover of all confirmed pieces of business to operational departments.
* All written and verbal communication should be precise, accurate and to the highest standard.
* Ensure a clear and prompt response to all client requests with a "can do" attitude.
* Monitor and control levels of business from designated market segments and territories and analyse changes intelligently in order to respond accordingly.
* Be constantly innovative and forward-thinking in the way in which the sales message is relayed to clients in order to stand out amongst our competitors.
* Be aware of high and low demand periods of the hotel, the countryside and competitors.
* Identification and communication of industry innovations and assessment of innovations for possible roll out.
* Be aware and up-to-date on the corporate strategies of competitor hotels.
Requirements:
* Highly developed inter-personal skills with skills in persuasion, negotiation and influencing.
* Ability to develop rapport with clients from all different backgrounds and adapt style accordingly
* Good analytical, accuracy and numeric skills
* Well organised and priority focussed and quick to adapt to change
* Highly computer literate
* Knowledge of hotel systems - Opera and Delphi.
* Ability to work under own initiative in a highly pressured environment
* Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
