Finance Director required to join a leading UK manufacturer of steel doors, grilles and cages and an award winning company with exceptional growth to date and ambitious future plans.

This company has been identified by the London Stock Exchange as one of the 'Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain', the group has successfully trebled turnover in the last 3 years whilst making significant investments to ensure this level of growth is sustained into the future.

They are expecting significant growth over the next few years.

Main Purpose of the job:

Contributing to the ongoing development of strategy, maintaining a robust financial management regime, driving commercial and working capital performance, and having responsibility for a number of operational functions.

Main Responsibilities:

- Commercial/Strategic: Provide commercial support and challenge to the Chief Executive Officer and main Board; contribute to the development of business planning and strategy; evaluate the business's financial performance highlighting areas for improvement and change.
- Profitability and Cashflow: Drive profitability through astute financial analysis of commercial contract negotiation with key customers; maintain rigorous control over stock and broader working capital management.
- Financial Management and Control: Ensure robust financial control and prompt, accurate, detailed management information; ensure that the necessary business systems infrastructure is in place to support the planned growth and structure of the Group, and is capable of delivering management information of sufficiently detailed nature to support both financial control and commercial decision making; management of key external relationships including banking, audit, tax, insurance legal and pensions.
- Tax and Treasury: Take a proactive approach to ensuring compliance and optimisation of direct and indirect taxation regimes in the various territories in which the group operates.
- HR, IT and Health & Safety: Ensure that adequate processes are in place for HR, IT and Health & Safety across the Group.

Essential skills and knowledge:

- Commercially astute qualified Accountant.
- A leader with excellent communication and relationship building skills, able to credibly influence/challenge at Board level.
- Adept driver of performance improvement with the people skills to support effective delivery.
- Hands on, enjoys taking ownership, works to high personal standards, detail oriented.
- Manufacturing experience is NOT essential.
